SocialChangeCamp NYC 2009 - September 26, 2009 at NYU Woolworth

SocialChangeCamp is a conference for forward-thinking public interest organizations seeking new and diverse ways to leverage technology to recruit volunteers, build communities, inspire grassroots movements, reach donors, and facilitate effective advocacy. SocialChangeCamp empowers socially conscious organizations with channels and techniques that help them find relevance and accessibility in social media and related technology, regardless of their current levels of engagement. By educating, empowering, and connecting our community members, we act as a catalyst for social change.

We are a BarCamp conference, which means there is no predetermined schedule of events - attendees choose what to present at the conference, and are free to see as many or as few events as they like. What to expect at a BarCamp

Social Change Camp: Sponsor Spots Still Available!

It’s almost time!

On Saturday September 26, 2009, we’re going to be hosting New York City’s inaugural SocialChangeCamp — a unprecedented day-long collaboration between NYC’s tech/social media/marketing/PR pros, and a diverse range of public interest and non-profit organizations.

Event ticket sales will be coming soon — so watch this spot for details in the next couple of days!

The ultimate goal of SocialChangeCamp is to source and demonstrate a diverse range of ways to leverage technology to recruit volunteers, build communities, inspire grassroots movements, reach donors and fundraisers, and facilitate effective advocacy for groups that want to make a big impact… on a tiny budget.

That’s why this year’s theme is “How to Do More with Less: Leveraging Technology for Social Change.”

Through a series of sessions and discussions, we’ll show non-profits, charities, museums, schools, corporate social responsibility teams, NGOs and other socially conscious organizations how to reach out to their communities in inspired and meaningful ways.

As part of our mission to make social media more accessible, and in order to encourage participation, we are committed to presenting this conference at little to no cost to our attendees.

That’s where our sponsors — i.e. YOU! — come in.

We’ve already got some fantastic companies, agencies and individuals offering us support to help defray our participants’ costs — but we’ve definitely got room for more!

Can you help out?

Here are our target sponsorship levels:

$250: Innovator

Sponsorship at this level includes having your logo featured prominently on our website, and at the event, as well as space on the Sponsor Table to display material. In addition, your name will be included in all materials sent out about the camp.

$100: Founder

$50: Supporter

Also, feel free to share this post with companies you think might want to take part through a re-blog, or by passing on the link.
